Biography:

Romy Zingraff is a doctoral researcher in Criminal Justice at Texas State University, where her work focuses on missing-person investigations, legislative compliance, and inequities in media visibility. Her research integrates large-scale quantitative datasets with qualitative analysis of family and community narratives, with particular attention to the effects of legislation on reporting practices and investigative timeliness. She also examines outcome patterns among missing individuals in Texas and disparities in coverage.
