ALANA SAULNIER

Biography:

Alana Saulnier received her PhD from Queen's University in 2016 and returned to the University as a faculty member in the Sociology Department and member of the Surveillance Studies Centre in 2021. Her research has consistently focused on relationships between legal authorities and the communities that they serve with a particular focus on how data collection and management technologies may affect these relations. She is strongly supportive of the evidence-based policing movement and advocates for police-academic partnerships.
